Illegal alien van leads to ID theft documents

By Jon Hutchinson
Staff Reporter

Early Saturday morning, a Yavapai County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a blue Dodge Caravan for blocking traffic on the Interstate 17 near the 260 interchange. As the deputy approached, he saw several people crouched down inside, including some sitting on other passengers because of limited space.

In addition to the driver, there were a total of 10 passengers in the vehicle who were all apparent illegal aliens.

The driver showed a Mexican license that the deputy determined was a forgery. She allegedly admitted to purchasing the fake license recently in Phoenix for $50.

The deputy contacted Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and verified that all those detained were illegal aliens and ICE officials placed an immigration hold on the group. One of the passengers was found in possession of an Ohio identification card and a Social Security Card, both of which were fraudulent as well. The deputy confiscated these items, and sent a request to the Social Security Administration to verify the alleged misuse of the federal number. Police say seizing the Social Security Card interrupted the use of the number to get a job, possibly establish credit and a potential identity theft nightmare for the true holder of the number.

A Sheriff's Office detention van was sent to the location and transported the 11 subjects to the Camp Verde Jail to wait for their release to ICE.

The vehicle, registered out of Phoenix, was impounded for 30 days due to the lack of a documented licensed driver.

In order to protect U.S. citizenship, sovereignty, and the rule of law, a massive law enforcement crack down on illegal entry into the U.S. from Mexico must be immediately initiated. Serious prison time needs to be handed out to foreign lawbreakers violating our labor, tax, document fraud, and immigration laws if this nation is ever going to deter this destructive and cancerous illegal alien invasion.

The madness continues while Nero in DC fiddles. America is going the way of Rome. Only a complete cleansing of Congress will offer any hope for resolution and enforcement. It's up to you this November, make your choice.
