COTTONWOOD - Yavapai County Sheriff's detectives continue to look for clues into the disappearance of Kristal Forest on the weekend of March 28, 2009.  The woman has not been seen or heard from since. Forest's dogs and property are also missing.

Forest, 64, had lived in Cottonwood, Cornville and Lake Montezuma. She was moving from Cottonwood to Austin, Texas, but never arrived.

The woman is described as 5-8 in height, 135 pounds, with medium blonde graying hair, and green eyes. She may have had her hair pulled back at the time. Bank activity ceased after the late March date.

Forest took her two tan-and-rust, medium-sized dogs in her red 1997 Nissan Pathfinder. She was towing an open-sided U-Haul trailer with ramp from Cottonwood to Texas.

Robert Reed, 55, of Camp Verde, befriended Forest and was seen helping the woman with the move and possibly traveled with her during part of the trip.

Detectives learned the woman's U-Haul trailer was towed to a storage yard in Las Cruces, N.M., about 2 a.m. on April 2, 2009. The empty trailer was delivered by someone driving a dark-colored full-sized extended cab truck, perhaps a Ford F250 or F350. Detectives want to interview the driver of that truck, or anyone who knows about the trailer's delivery.

In August 2009, Reed was located by detectives and found in possession of Forest's Nissan Pathfinder, computer and other property. He claimed to have purchased the Nissan from her. He was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

Reed, who is 6-2, 250 pounds, with blond curly hair and blue eyes, is currently serving time in the Arizona Department of Corrections on separate charges but has been uncooperative with detectives .

Reed also used the names "Charles Olson" and "Chef Charlie" during March and April.  He was known as a homeless person in the Riverfront Park area.

Reed frequented Riverfront Park, Dead Horse Ranch State Park, the Verde Valley, Cottonwood, and Phoenix areas prior before the woman's disappearance.  He used "Craigslist" under the alias "Charles Olson" and may have arranged delivery of the trailer to Las Cruces through a contact on Craigslist.

Additionally, detectives would like information on any sightings of Kristal Forest, Robert Reed, and a red 1997 Nissan Pathfinder with U-Haul trailer between March 28 and April 2, 2009.  Please contact Detective Alex Jaramillo at (928) 771-3278 or Yavapai Silent Witness at (800) 932-3232 if you have any information that could lead to locating Kristal Forest.
