Beer-Thirty is going to be a really big deal

COTTONWOOD -- In its first year, the Verde Valley beer tasting festival attracted four breweries. This Saturday, Aug. 11, there will be 16 breweries on hand at the Verde Valley Fairgrounds pouring many more individual brews. Music by Mark Zubia and Los Guys, the Christopher Robin Band and entertainment by the Dirty Verde Roller Derby Girls. Be among the first 350 through the gate and you will get a free 4-ounce souvenir tasting cup. Gates are open from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Sales will benefit the Central Arizona Food Bank and the VVFA Scholarship Fund.
Pre-sale entrance fee is $20 for 20 tasting tickets or pay $25 at the gate. Its $10 for a designated driver (with free soda and water but no alcohol). Bring two canned food items to benefit the Central Arizona Food Bank and get two more tasting tickets.
Over 21 years only.
Presale tickets are available at Vintages Grille in Rimrock, Red Rock BBQ in Sedona, Keith Sports café in Camp Verde, PJs Village Pub in the VOC, Main Street Café and Pizzeria in Clarkdale, Jerome Twin Star in Jerome and in Cottonwood at Players, Verde Events and Tents, Verde Valley Rentals, the Verde Valley Fair office and on line at beerfest.verdevalleyfair.com/
Breweries include Cosmic Distributing, Four Peaks, Grand Canyon, Colorado's O'Dell Brewing and Oskar Blues Brewing, Mogollon of Flagstaff, LA's Great Beer Company, Leinenkugel's, Pyrimid Brewing from Seattle, Big Sky Brewing from Montana, San Tan Brewing of Chandler.
Camping space and RV sites will be available for $15 with water and electricity; $7 for dry camping.
