Letter: I’ll respect your rights and you respect mine

Editor:

I have tried always to be polite to others and with that in mind I would never try to impose my beliefs on Mr. Hall so what I will try to point out is the parts that may have been left out. First I would like Mr. Hall to know that I was in the military in the 50s and 60s and was a Deputy Sherriff in the 60s and 70s.

In the middle 70s I was with Burns International Detective Agcy and as of 2003 a retired Federal officer. So now on to what I think may have been left out which is yes drivers are tested, plates have to be renewed and insurance is required but guess what Arizona is one of the highest of uninsured drivers in the country and that’s why my rates are so high.

The ban on smoking is only in certain places and maybe there should be a ban on spitting in public, I do not use tobacco of any kind. I would like you to know that I have had guns for a long time and have done my share of hunting for game and wanted people, and I will always respect your rights and I would never bring a weapon in to your property, and I would hope you would in turn respect my rights.

Now in closing I would hope that a burglar or some kind of thief would look into getting some insurance so that anyone that has suffered damage or property taken that if they were caught you would be able get their info to contact their carrier so you could be made whole again instead of your company having to pay.
