Cornville Road Rollover

By Jon Hutchinson
A one-vehicle rollover accident was dispatched just before 2 p.m. Tuesday on Cornville Road just east of Beaverhead Flat Road. The Sahara-type Jeep was heading east when the driver apparently drifted off the right side of the roadway, then over-corrected to get back on highway and shot across the roadway and rolled over. One man was ejected during the roll. The Jeep was fitted with a rollbar that may have protected him. He was flown to Flagstaff Medical by Guardian Angel-4. Verde Valley Operational Chief Jerry Doerksen reminds motorists that if a wheel goes off the road, take your foot off the accelerator and let the vehicle slow before attempting to get back on the road.
