Ranch House Round-Up

Oct. 6

The second annual Ranch House Round-Up, a Beaver Creek community festival and fundraiser, is noon to 8 p.m. There will be live music, dancing, BBQ, Old West Beer & Wine Bar, kids’ games, golf games, trail rides, arts & crafts show, silent auction and more.

Karmann & Company at Bent River

Sunday lunch at the VFW

July 8

The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 6739 in Camp Verde will be hosting lunch from noon to 4 p. m. They will be serving baked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and lots of sides for a cost of $6 a plate. Come on in and enjoy great food, have some fun and enjoy good company. Proceeds go to Operation Uplink. Members and guests welcome.



Fiddler campout at Willard Springs

Aug. 3-5

The Old Time Fiddlers Verde Valley Chapter will have their annual summer campout at Willard Springs south of Flagstaff in lieu of their regular jam session at the Verde Valley Senior Citizen Center in Cottonwood.

The regular jam session at the senior center will resume the first Sunday in September at 1 p.m.



Breakfast by the Legion Auxiliary Post 93

July 8

The American Legion Auxiliary Post 93 in Camp Verde wilt have their monthly Breakfast on Sunday, from 9 to 11 a.m.  Come in and check out what is cooking for only $6 per plate.  It’s always a good breakfast.  The American Legion Post 93 address is 286 S. Third St.

Beaver Creek Farmer’s Market returns

The Beaver Creek Farmers Market at the Ranch House Restaurant returns Wednesday and every Wednesday through Oct. 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. For more information, call (928) 301-0394.



Sign up for youth football

July 7

Camp Verde Youth Football will have sign ups on July 7 from 8 to 11 a.m. at Bashas’ and on July 21 at the old high school in room 207 from 8 to 11 a.m. at which time they will have a doctor doing physicals for a fee. For more information, contact Marylee at (928) 451-2557.



Steak dinner at the American Legion

July 7

The American Legion Post 93, 286 S. Third St., Camp Verde, proudly presents steaks by Randy and Suzie Bruce on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. Randy has cooked his marinated steaks for many years and has a great following. Steak dinner includes corn on the cob from Hauser Farms, baked potato, salad and all the fixins. For your listening and dancing pleasure they have The Wright Brothers at 5:30 p.m. Members and guests are welcome?



Knuckleheads play Clarkdale Concert in the Park

July 14

The Knuckleheads will perform 7-9 p.m. at the Clarkdale Town Park gazebo located at 1001 Main Street, Clarkdale. This concert is free to the public. Self-proclaimed “backwoods boogie-woogie R&B” band, the Knuckleheads, feature five of the Verde Valley’s key crooners, including guitarists Gary Morgan and Manny Inigo, bass player George Gehlert, drummer John Tenny, and sax aficionado Michael (Shorty) Reed.

The park is located in the center of the town’s historic district on Main Street, between 10th and 11th Streets. Spirit of Joy Ice Cream Social

July 14

Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church invites the community to a free Ice Cream Social at 3 p.m. The Event will take place at the new church campus, 330 Scenic Drive, Clarkdale. There will be fund-raiser activities: A cake walk with beautiful homemade cakes and a silent auction. Thrivent Financial will provide matching funds. Come and bring a friend. Fill your baskets with CSA

Through Oct. 17

Spaces are now available for the Verde Valley Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) season. Shareholders meet every Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Windmill Park in Cornville to pick up their basket of locally grown, freshly picked produce from area family farms. This is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization. Shareholders may pay for the season up front for $474 or make two payments of $242 preseason and midseason.
