July 5
Local First Arizona (LFA) is collaborating with the City of Cottonwood and the Old Town Farmers Market to bring Cottonwood it’s first ever cash mob from 5 to 6 p.m. in Old Town Historic District, 791 N. Main St. The cash mob is a fairly recent phenomenon, having grown from the desire to show support for small, independent businesses. The idea is simple: gather a large group of people to descend on a business in a short time span, and have each person spend $20 (or whatever you have) in cash at that business.
Local First Arizona is planning a series of cash mobs in preparation of their annual summer event, Independents Week, July 1-7.
For more information on Independents Week and to see a list of participating businesses, visit www.localfirstaz.com/independents-week.
