Cottonwood resident Mary Wisniewski turned 100 years of age on June 7, and celebrated her birthday on Friday with a party full of friends and family at Cottonwood Village. Mary, who has lived in Cottonwood for 25 years, was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and immigrated to the United States at age 10. A retired schoolteacher, Mary is the librarian at Cottonwood Village and works two afternoons a week at the Village Store. She is known as a serious card-shark and avid Diamondbacks fan at the retirement center that has been her home for the past decade.
