A number of Verde Valley residents turned out for the college governing board's regular meeting Tuesday, including Sedona Mayor Rob Adams and former Yavapai College Board Member Robert Oliphant, to oppose plans to sell the campus.
The Yavapai County Community Health Services and Verde Valley Sanctuary coordinated this year's 2014 Teen Maze at the Clemenceau Building in Cottonwood. Running for two days, students in 7th-9th grade, primarily, spent about two hours touring a variety of educational booths meant to increase their understanding of issues ranging from drug and alcohol abuse, teen pregnancy, body self-image and better decision making.
