Geraldine Mary Booth Guthrie
Geraldine Mary Booth Guthrie

Our beloved wife and mother, Geraldine Mary Booth Guthrie, passed into the hands of her Lord and Savior this 27th of December, 2012 after a short illness and a long and happy life of 91 years.

Born Geraldine Mary Booth on October 12th, 1921 in Rochester, NY she moved with her Mother and Sister to Syracuse at an early age where she grew up, attended Central High School and spent many a memorable summer on her Aunt and Uncle’s farm near Ithaca, NY.

She married Donald E. Guthrie  on August 10th, 1943.

Gerry, during the last few months of her life, came under the care of her family and the local Hospice service organization in her Cottonwood, AZ home where she passed away peacefully and quietly surrounded by her beloved family.

Gerry is survived by her beloved husband, Donald E., son Robert D. and Son-In-Law Justin L. Werner.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal funeral or memorial services will be observed and Gerry’s mortal remains will be cremated and sown over the beautiful Mogollon Rim County of Northern AZ of which she was so fond.

In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, Gerry’s wish was for donations to be made in her name to: Hospice of the Pines, 13175 E. SR 169, #B, Dewey, AZ  86327 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN  38105.

I just saw this about your mother Robert. I so enjoyed taking meals to them while you went on vacation. I remember them fondly. Your mom loved fried chicken. I am sorry for your loss. Give my best to your dad.....Love Cyn-d Cunningham
