CAMP VERDE -- 25-year-old Nicholas Reid, one of two men facing charges in the 18 Street Cottonwood home invasion and shooting in 2013, is now facing charges for vehicle burglary in a Camp Verde case. DNA testing from the burglary returned identifying Reid as the suspect.
Monday, Reid was in court with his attorney, Matthew Springer. The attorney said he was still reviewing the disclosure documents in that matter. He said the defense has received a plea offer from prosecution. He wants to make sure that offer covers both the cases.
Judge Michael Bluff scheduled a pre-trial conference appearance for Monday, Sept. 15, to offer a Donald hearing to explain the differences of accepting the plea and going to trial and possibly a plea agreement.
