1/23/2014 12:29:00 PM Habitat for Humanity seeks home applicants
Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity has set the date for the groundbreaking ceremony at the first VVHFH home in Sedona.
The event will take place at 11:30 am on Feb. 7, at 55 Grounds Drive in Sedona. VVHFH is actively seeking the next partner family in the Verde Valley and is accepting applications for home ownership.
There will be a Community Awareness Seminars where you will learn the truth about how VVHFH works and what we are doing in your community, how to become a VVHFH homeowner (with an opportunity to start the application process), and how you can volunteer to make a difference in the lives of others.
Everyone is invited to the seminars. In Cottonwood, they will be held at the Cottonwood Library (100 S 6th Street), at 12:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month throughout 2014.
In Sedona, a seminar will be held at the Sedona Library (3250 White Bear Road), at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 15.
Light refreshments will be served at each seminar.
VVHFH helps qualifying individuals and families purchase affordable homes built with the homeowner's own efforts; the work of volunteers; the support of friends, faith groups, and businesses; donations to the VVHFH ReStore; and contributions from our community.
The local organization does not receive funding from Habitat International.
