COTTONWOOD -- Early last week, PANT and GIITEM special task force detectives got a tip about burglaries said to have been committed at local mini storage facilities. That information was investigated by PANT detectives who contacted YCSO, Clarkdale, Cottonwood, and Prescott Valley Police. One mini storage burglary in Clarkdale involved numerous stolen items including two coin collections of pre 1964-silver coins as well as rare collectable coins totally valued at $60,000.

Based on leads, PANT Detectives obtained search warrants for three homes in Cottonwood, said to contain stolen items.

On Monday, PANT officers, with the help from Cottonwood PD, YCSO, and GIITEM, served search warrants at the three homes. Evidence from the Clarkdale burglary was found at each location. Items recovered from the search included U.S. coins and currency from the 1920s and 1930s, collectible coin albums, and the containers in which the coins were stored. Also located were illegal drugs and paraphernalia, according to the report.

Arrested on burglary and drug charges were 28-year-old Brandy Sophia Rosas, Kevin Lee Boyle, 33, Carlos Alberto Brambila, 27 years old, and Charles Howard Fitzpatrick, 26, all of Cottonwood. The four were booked into YCSO Jail Thursday.

The Cottonwood Police Department has also taken recent criminal damage calls at the Aspen Mini Storage facility. Approximately 15 locks had been broken on units there. At this time management of the facility is awaiting contact from several patrons whose locks were removed. PANT Detectives also believe it is possible the suspects duplicated locks on some units to delay discovery of some of the burglaries.

Anyone who may have been victim of a recent storage unit burglary is urged to contact local authorities to file a police report. Anyone with information regarding the criminal damage or burglaries of the Aspen Street Mini Storage can call the Cottonwood Police Department or Yavapai County Silent Witness.
