Mount Hope gives back to the community. Employees' of the health food store pooled money they earned from the Irwin Naturals Employee Bonus Program and selected the Verde Valley Boys and Girls Club to be the recipient of their $500 donation. Board members of the Boys and Girls Club received the check from Mount Hope on Tuesday morning, June 25, at the store located in Cottonwood. Pictured from left are members of the Boys and Girls Club Board: Cindy Holcombe, Christine Carlton, Mark Johnson (Mount Hope), Peggy Graham, Connie Dedrick, Board Pres. Sonny Rodriquez and Mount Hope employees: Debbi Sprinkle, owner Linda Trubitz, Kim Crnkovich, Amber Zalkind-Hawkins and Peggy Edwards. VVN/Jon Pelletier

Why does this story not surprise me? Mount Hope and Herb & Linda Trubitz have been giving back and helping others for more than 20 years. The only thing that does surprise me about this story appearing in the paper is that it actually appeared as their giving is almost always behind the scenes. So many people and organizations have benefitted from their generosity and giving spirit over the years. This community is blessed to have them here. Kudos to you, Herb & Linda and the employees of Mount Hope Foods!
