Class V of Verde Valley Leadership (VVL) celebrated the completion of their Greenhouse Legacy Project with a dedication ceremony on Wednesday, February 13, at the Verde Valley Senior Center. Verde Valley Leadership provides personal and professional growth opportunities through development of leadership skills, community awareness, and building diverse networks. The second year of the program involves a Legacy Project, providing the opportunity for the Class to give back to their community by choosing a worthy cause. For a number of years, Elaine Bremner, Executive Director of the Senior Center, has had a vision of building a greenhouse at the Senior Center where fresh produce could be grown to enhance the nutritional value of the meals served at the Center and through the Meals on Wheels program. Many other local businesses, contractors and individuals also assisted with the completion of the project. VVN/Jon Pelletier
