Cornville resident Stephen Cassagio, shown here with his wife Janet, was the lucky winner of a framed giclee' print of "The Old Cornville Post Office," a painting by award-winning Clarkdale Artist Benton Henry. The building served as the community's post office under Postmasters Charles and Jessie Chick from 1909 to 1961. The Cornville Historical Society awarded the painting on December 10, after selling nearly 500 tickets. The Society expresses appreciation to everyone who purchased tickets and the following businesses that displayed the painting to support the successful fundraising campaign: Highlands at Verde Santa Fe, Grasshopper Grill, Manzanita Inn, Windmill Gardens, The Cowboy Shop and Page Springs Cellars & Vineyards. The painting was also shown at events sponsored by the Cornville Community Association, Oak Creek School, and City of Cottonwood.
